  • Often seen as refined and complicated, French cuisine might seem intimidating to some. However, homemade French food is very different from food served in many French restaurants. Most traditional recipes come from the countryside and were prepared by women who were busy working in fields, in factories or runnning houses and had little time to cook fancy food.
  • In today's French families, cooking and sharing homemade food is still an essential part of the social life and every family has their own "secret" recipe handed over from one generation to the other. There are many popular traditional recipes; unfortunately it would have required a much bigger book to present all of them. Those are some of my favourites.
